THE WOOL MILL WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

A WEDDING FILMED AT THE WOOL MILL, BRUNSWICK //

The Wool Mill in Melbourne offers an edgy, industrial backdrop that perfectly balances modern style with timeless romance. As a Melbourne wedding videographer, I love filming here—the raw textures and soft lighting create magic on screen. Capturing stories at The Wool Mill is always a creative joy.

Vito and Jemma’s wedding at The Wool Mill in Brunswick was full of charm, character, and one very enthusiastic Dachshund. The story began for me earlier in the day, filming both bride and groom prep. They each took a quiet moment to write heartfelt notes to one another—separate from their vows—and those letters set the tone beautifully. There was a shared sense of excitement, nerves, and deep love that carried all the way through to the ceremony. As a wedding videographer, those little in-between moments are gold—they help shape the emotional arc of the day.

The Wool Mill’s ceremony space is one of Melbourne’s hidden gems. Nestled in a private laneway, its industrial charm makes it feel both spacious and intimate. The simple brick backdrop and tall ceilings give the ceremony room a calm, understated elegance—perfect for focusing on the moment, and for capturing it on film. From a wedding videography perspective, the clean lines and soft indoor light made for beautiful, natural visuals.

Of course, no moment was more memorable than the ring bearer. Their miniature Dachshund had one job—walk in quietly and deliver the rings. But like any good surprise, it didn’t quite go to plan. Just before his big entrance, he let out an excited bark that echoed through the room and completely blew his cover. The entire crowd burst out laughing, and honestly, it was perfect. Unexpected, adorable, and totally them.

After the ceremony, we wandered just outside The Wool Mill for the couple shoot. The venue’s Brunswick location means you’re spoiled for choice with gritty urban textures, alleyways, and colourful street art—ideal for couples who want something a little less traditional and a bit more editorial. Vito and Jemma leaned into the vibe completely, and we got some seriously cool shots that wouldn’t have worked anywhere else.

The reception was held downstairs—another sleek, open space The Wool Mill does so well. Modern white interiors, striking black beams, and just enough ambient light to give everything a soft, cinematic feel. There were heartfelt speeches, plenty of dancing, and a sense that everyone there genuinely got how special this day was for these two.

Also, hats off to the team running the day—they kept everything smooth and on track, letting Vito and Jemma just enjoy the celebration.

And to their little dachshund? You absolutely stole the show, mate.
