STONES OF THE YARRA VALLEY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

A WEDDING FILMED AT STONES OF THE YARRA VALLEY, COLDSTREAM //

Stones of the Yarra Valley is one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, and for good reason. As a local wedding videographer, capturing the quiet elegance and heartfelt celebrations that unfold here is always a privilege.

Angel and Bruce booked Stones of the Yarra Valley before they’d even gotten engaged—a testament to how sure they were about marrying each other, and how deeply they’d fallen in love with this iconic venue. With its manicured vines, rolling hills, and timeless stone buildings, it’s no surprise. Their wedding day reflected that same sense of certainty and elegance, shaped by over a decade of friendship and a shared life just beginning.

The day began with a nod to heritage and tradition: an intimate Chinese tea ceremony held privately with family. Angel looked stunning in a traditional red dress—the first of four incredible outfits she would wear throughout the day. This quiet, respectful moment set the tone for everything to follow: heartfelt, intentional, and full of meaning.

From there, she changed into her white wedding dress for a quick first look with her father, followed by one with Bruce outside the chapel. The emotion in these moments was real and unfiltered—exactly what we as wedding videographers aim to preserve in our films. The ceremony itself was simple, romantic, and beautifully bilingual, with vows exchanged in Mandarin. They exited the chapel under a shower of sunlight and confetti, the type of exit every wedding videographer hopes for.

As the evening progressed, Angel changed into a glamorous white gown for dinner, setting the tone for a refined reception inside The Barn at Stones of the Yarra Valley. The speeches were filled with laughter, gratitude, and just the right amount of roasting from friends and family. The food—true to Stones’ reputation—was exceptional, and yes, the vendors were well looked after too.

As the stars emerged over the Yarra Valley, Angel made her final outfit reveal—a striking black dress for the evening festivities. She and Bruce opened the dancefloor with a choreographed first dance that they absolutely nailed. From there, it was the perfect blend of elegance and fun: the shoe game, a full dancefloor, and a celebration that carried long into the night.

Stones of the Yarra Valley is one of the most iconic wedding venues near Melbourne, and as a local wedding videographer, I always enjoy capturing love stories in this picturesque setting. For couples dreaming of a celebration that’s both timeless and uniquely theirs, Stones of the Yarra Valley delivers in every way. Capturing Angel and Bruce’s story at this incredible venue was an absolute privilege. Their wedding film will forever reflect not just how their day looked—but exactly how it felt.
