Maddie and Nikhil’s wedding day was a stunning celebration filled with sentimental touches and unforgettable moments. Phillip Island Winery, with its picturesque landscapes and rustic charm, provided the perfect backdrop for their union. While the couple doesn’t reside on Phillip Island, the location holds deep significance for Maddie, who grew up visiting the island with her family. This connection to the island added an extra layer of meaning to their wedding film.

The day began with the usual pre-wedding preparations, allowing time to capture heartfelt moments with Maddie and Nikhil’s closest family and friends. Bridal parties and parents gathered to help with the final touches, offering a perfect opportunity to film the VIPs before they mingled among the 120+ guests at the ceremony. Emotional first looks were a highlight of the morning—Maddie shared touching moments with both her father and her bridesmaids, setting the tone for the day ahead.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was Maddie and Nikhil’s first look at Berry’s Beach. Maddie descended from the clifftops to the beach to meet Nikhil, creating a cinematic scene that was a dream to capture on film. Their interaction was sweet and genuine, and the couple shoot that followed took full advantage of the stunning surroundings. With the green cliffs and deep blue ocean as a backdrop, the love between Maddie and Nikhil shone through every frame.

The ceremony at Phillip Island Winery was filled with joy and emotion. A standout moment was their dog, Stitch, successfully delivering the rings—a delightful touch that added personality to the event. As the sun began to set, we took advantage of the soft, golden light for additional couple shoots in the winery’s rear field. These moments were followed by a styled shoot with a vintage Mustang, driven by Nikhil around the winery’s scenic property. The classic car added a touch of nostalgia and elegance to the film, enhancing the timeless feel we aimed to create.

The evening festivities began with a lively first dance, made even more magical by guests surrounding the couple with light-up batons. This created a dynamic visual for the wedding film and set the stage for an energetic celebration led by DJ Josh Sperring. The dance floor stayed packed all night, with joyful energy radiating from every guest.

The night concluded with one of my favorite endings to any wedding film—a long sparkler exit that lit up the night sky. Maddie and Nikhil then drove off into the distance, marking the beginning of their new chapter together. It was a storybook ending that perfectly encapsulated the beauty and emotion of the day.
