MOUNT DUNEED ESTATE WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

A WEDDING FILMED AT MOUNT DUNEED ESTATE, GEELONG //

VENUE: MOUNT DUNEED ESTATE

PHOTOGRAPHER: STILL MUSE

Coming into this wedding, I knew it was going to be a big day, and as a wedding videographer, I had a full 13-hour runsheet prepared. This was a Greek wedding on the bride’s side, with a longer and more eventful morning prep than usual. Between traditional Greek customs, live musicians, and around 40 guests, there was a lot to capture. The couple also wanted coverage late into the evening, including their farewell, making my Premier package with full-day wedding videography the ideal choice.

The forecast was a staggering 45 degrees, which posed a real challenge for both guests and equipment. Modern cameras aren’t designed for that kind of heat, so I had backups for every angle, ran constant gear checks, and kept myself hydrated and prepared to stay sharp throughout the day. Even with the extreme conditions, the final wedding video captured the energy, joy, and fun of the day, without letting the weather dictate the mood.

After the hour-long Greek Orthodox ceremony, guests arrived at Mount Duneed Estate in a lively, excited mood. The venue was beautifully set up, with low lighting, misting fans, and air conditioning keeping everyone comfortable. From a wedding videography perspective, Mount Duneed Estate makes capturing a full evening seamless, with spaces that maintain a great atmosphere and temperature throughout the night.

Dinner followed the couple’s entrance, and while cameras usually take a break at this point, the share-plate service created intimate, homely moments that were perfect to capture. The low, moody light inside Mt Duneed Estate gave me full control over lighting speeches, resulting in cinematic, polished footage.

Sunset photos followed, and while cloud cover blocked the sun on one side, the opposite sky was mostly clear, creating a rich purple backdrop along the main road and vineyards. The final hours included the couple’s first dance and the opening of the dancefloor, complete with traditional Greek dancing. Mt Duneed Estate’s upper level behind the bar provides a perfect vantage point for wide shots and a safe place to leave a camera rolling for continuous coverage of speeches and the first dance.

The staff at Mount Duneed Estate were fantastic, keeping meals on schedule and the bar running smoothly. By the time I left around 11:30pm, it was a perfect summer night outside, and I drove home looking forward to a cold shower after a full day of wedding videography.
