Daniel and Emma’s wedding at Meadowbank Estate was a day filled with love, music, and unforgettable moments. I immediately felt a connection when I arrived at groom prep and saw the walls lined with guitars and studio gear. Being a musician myself and having once dreamt of becoming a rockstar, it was clear we had a lot in common.

Their day began with a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Thornbury. With its grand architecture and warm lighting, it was the perfect setting for such a meaningful commitment. While Catholic weddings don’t typically include personal vows, Daniel made up for it later at the reception with heartfelt words about his wife—one of the many emotional highlights of the night.

After the ceremony, we moved to Carlton Gardens for their bridal portraits. This popular spot never disappoints, offering lush greenery and classic architecture that frame every shot beautifully. Then it was on to Meadowbank Estate, where guests enjoyed cocktail hour and canapés before heading into the reception space.

The evening featured everything you’d hope for—a delicious meal, moving speeches from family, and a well-rehearsed first dance. As a wedding videographer, I made sure to set up a second camera to capture the full performance, ensuring every moment was immortalized in their wedding videography. But the real showstopper of the night? Daniel surprising everyone (or perhaps no one) by grabbing his PRS guitar and absolutely shredding Purple Rain in front of an awestruck crowd and a beaming Emma.
