With sweeping views and classic winery elegance, Marnong Estate is a dream location for any couple. As a Melbourne wedding videographer, I love how every wedding here feels both grand and intimate, with cinematic moments in every direction.

Osura and Chantelle’s wedding at Marnong Estate was a perfect blend of Sri Lankan tradition and modern celebration. As a wedding videographer, it’s always special to witness two cultures come together so seamlessly—and Marnong Estate proved to be the perfect backdrop for it.

The day began in the Homestead, a beautifully restored heritage home where both the architecture and soft lighting made the morning prep feel elegant and calm. From there, we moved to the Secret Garden for a first look, where Osura and Chantelle saw each other for the first time in traditional Sri Lankan attire—a quiet, heartfelt moment in one of the estate’s most private spaces.

Their Sri Lankan ceremony took place in the Green Grove, a modern, glass-lined venue that let the surrounding greenery pour in. From a wedding videography perspective, I love this space—the reflections and clean lines make for some visually striking footage. The couple then transitioned to a Western celebrant to officially tie the knot, exiting through a tunnel of bubbles (a cheap and tidy alternative to confetti in my opinion!).

I hadn’t filmed at Marnong Estate before, and I was blown away when we stepped out onto the hill just before sunset. The views are some of the best I’ve seen around Melbourne. It was a popular spot that evening, with plenty of onlookers, but with some careful framing I was able to capture intimate, cinematic shots that felt like the moment belonged only to the couple.

Their reception in the Angliss Room kicked off with a sweet, rehearsed first dance—followed by a flashmob from their bridal party that took everyone by surprise. It set the tone for a high-energy dancefloor that kept going well into the night.
