James and Holly’s wedding at Hubert Estate was a day full of laughter, colour, and celebration. I didn’t film prep for this one, so the story for me began at the ceremony—and what a way to start.

Set against the stunning architecture and vineyard backdrop that Hubert Estate is known for, their ceremony was framed by soft light and a brief passing shower. Just enough rain to give us a rainbow, not enough to interrupt the day. Perfect weather for a wedding videographer.

With a big bridal party full of character, there was no shortage of laughs or playful energy throughout the afternoon. It made for a dynamic bridal shoot, and the rain held off just long enough for us to take full advantage of the beautiful grounds that Hubert offers.

The reception was packed with all the essentials—heartfelt speeches, a buzzing dancefloor, and a surprise that stole the show. Just after dinner, James and Holly revealed the gender of their baby by biting into cupcakes. They’d guessed it would be a girl, and they were right. It was a sweet moment (literally and emotionally) shared with all their loved ones.

And while that was a highlight for them, I’d be lying if I didn’t mention mine: the late-night pizza delivery. There’s something about grabbing a few casual night shots with a couple eating pizza in their wedding attire that just works—it was relaxed, real, and the perfect way to wrap up the day.
