ABOUT THE WEDDING

Josh and Ava’s wedding in Bendigo was an intimate and heartfelt celebration, surrounded by their closest family and friends. When they first reached out to me a few months before their wedding, they had already planned a small, meaningful day with only a photographer booked. However, as the wedding drew closer, they realized that having their vows and ceremony readings captured on film was something they didn’t want to miss.

During our initial consultation, I suggested expanding their video coverage beyond just the ceremony. Given the close proximity of the Ernest Hotel (where they were getting ready) and Rosalind Park (where they were having bridal portraits), it made sense to capture additional moments leading up to and following the ceremony. This way, I could create a Highlight Film that would be a more complete and memorable reflection of their day.

Their day began at the Ernest Hotel, where they got ready in the beautifully styled spaces that provided a perfect backdrop for capturing those quiet, reflective moments before the ceremony. With its charming and elegant atmosphere, it set the tone for the heartfelt day ahead.

The ceremony took place at Forest Street Uniting Church, a stunning and historic venue that added a sense of timelessness to their vows. The warmth and intimacy of the space made for an emotional and personal exchange of promises, exactly the kind of moment that wedding videography helps to preserve forever.

After the ceremony, we took a short walk to Rosalind Park for their bridal portraits. The lush greenery and classic architecture of the park provided a beautiful contrast to the historic charm of the church, allowing us to capture a mix of cinematic and natural shots that truly reflected their love story.

I wrapped up my coverage just before they returned to the Ernest Hotel for their intimate reception. With the footage I captured, I was able to put together a two-minute Highlight Film, weaving together the most meaningful moments of their day.
