ABOUT THE COUPLE

HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?

Luke and I knew of each other through mutual friends and followed each other on Instagram, we officially met face to face in January 2017 at Unify Music Festival, it was pouring rain but we still managed to spot each other in the crowd and get chatting.
Fast forward to Queen’s Birthday Weekend and we both were invited to our friends pre-drinks, before heading out to Bang! for my birthday. I didn’t know Luke was going to be there, but I was pleasantly surprised when he stood up to greet me as I walked in, we clicked instantly and didn’t leave each other’s side all night.
We were both so awkward and too shy to make the first move but our friend Mikey could sense there was something special forming, and drunkenly smashed our heads together for our first kiss. We've been inseparable ever since.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO CAPTURE YOUR WEDDING ON VIDEO?

We're both very sentimental and loved the idea of having something special that we could re-watch over the years, and share our memories with family and our future kids.

WHY DID YOU GUYS PICK ME?

When we got engaged we didn't have a second thought of who we would chose to capture our day. We've seen your work evolve over the years and know how talented you are, and had full trust that you would capture not just our wedding day, but also all the love, laughter and tears.

YOU GUYS… WHAT DO YOU DO? HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DAYS? WHAT’S IMPORTANT IN LIFE?:

Aside from work, we love spending time with our family and friends, going to concerts together and planning little adventures out to waterfalls, hiking trails or the beach. We love our food! you'll most likely catch us at a cafe getting brunch on the weekend.
Creating memories and sharing experiences together is whats most important to us.

THE PROPOSAL… TELL ME EVERYTHING

We planned our first trip together after what felt like years of covid lockdowns and headed on a road trip around Tasmania. I wasn’t aware at the time that Luke had already picked out the ring the week before and asked my mum for her blessing.
Towards the end of our trip, after a 3-hour hike up one mountain and another 1,000 steps up another, we finally made it to the top of the Wineglass Bay lookout. I was admiring the view and when I turned around, I saw Luke down on one knee. He very romantically said “So…do you wanna do this, or what?”.
We were both bright red, sweaty and exhausted, but of course I said YES!

TWO TON MAX… WHY HERE ABOVE ANYWHERE ELSE?

We spent a lot of time researching venues and trying to find the best fit for us and visited about 4 or 5 other venues before deciding on Two Ton Max.
We knew we wanted a blank canvas that we could make our own, and a space that was big enough to fit our guests, but still feel intimate, which is exactly what we found.
We'd been to a wedding previously at Two Ton Max that we absolutely loved so we knew we would be in safe hands

WHAT’S PLANNED FOR THE HONEYMOON?

We're headed on our first trip to Bali! Our first few nights are in an isolated villa overlooking the mountains, with nothing but cocktails, food, massages and pool side days on the agenda. Then spending some time exploring and immersing ourselves in the culture.
